The Institute of Computer Science and the Institute of Information Systems Production and Logistics Management invite you to the closing event of the COSEMA project: Cooperative Information Security in Research and Real Life

November 2011 Time: 17:00 - 19:00 Location: University of Innsbruck, Technikerstraße, 21, ICT Building - Ground Floor - Seminar Room 2, Innsbruck Information, knowledge and technology are among the key factors of our economy. Protection and securing availability and integrity thereof are of increasing importance. Besides physical and technical threats human failure has become the most common source of security issues. Therefor information security must be implemented in a holistic approach addressing all involved parties. As part of the event success factors, holistic approaches and methods identified in a research project by the University of Innsbruck and industrial partners will be presented. You will also learn about motivations, challenges, pragmatic solutions and benefits of information security management following the ISO 27001 standard as implemented by the Tyrolean electricity producer TIWA and the world-wide acting Tyrolean production company EGGER.
