Insurance Coverage
The mobility program Erasmus does not include any insurance coverage. Information on insurance coverage abroad can be obtained from your current insurance company. For your stay abroad you must have health- accident and third party liability insurance - it is your own responsibility to take care of this matter
Recipients of federal scholarships (Studienbeihilfe)
Students, who are eligible to receive a scholarship for the stay abroad, also have to submit an application at the Studienbeihilfenbehörde (www.stipendium.at). Payment of the scholarship will be issued from this government agency.
Bank Account
You must have a domestic bank account (on your name), because all Erasmus allowances can only be transferred to your own domestic bank account.
Preparatory Language Training in the Host Country
Before the study abroad experience starts, you have the possibility to take a preparatory language course in the host country. The duration of the course is minimum 15 days and maximum 1 month.
