Contents
This seminar deals with embedded systems, especially from a computer architect's point of view. The focus will be on hardware and software aspects of modern embedded system architectures:
- Processors for embedded systems (e.g. ARM, Intel Atom, Atmel)
- System on Chip architectures (SoC)
- On-chip networks
- Embedded multi-core processors
- Massively parallel embedded processors for image processing (e.g. NEC IMAP)
- Cryptochips
- Typical apllications (digital signal processing, multimedia data (de)compression)
- Programming methodology of embedded systems
- Real-time operating systems (QNX, Windows CE)
Schedule
The seminar takes place on Thursday, 8.30-10:00, in lecture room SR13.
